Dandy Roundale
Dandy Roundale is a close friend of the Cumber family and the proprietor of The Fera Shop, a place Alva frequently enjoys visiting. He is an adult Nympha in his early forties, distinguished by pierced, pointed ears, damselfly wings, a thick yellow beard, and a striking Mohawk hairstyle that lends him a distinctly punk-inspired appearance.
Ambitious, adventurous, and deeply caring, Dandy is particularly protective of Alva and maintains a strong friendship with Jasmine Cumber, Alva’s mother. As the owner of his shop, Dandy studies, cares for, and breeds the strange and mythical creatures native to Nymphas’ World. Although his work can be hazardous, he takes great pleasure in working closely with animals and thrives in the challenges of his profession.
Whilst Alva is guiding Kay and Rob around Nymphas’ World, the group becomes lost, prompting Dandy to search for them. Upon finding Kay and Rob, he is astonished to encounter humans in Nymphas’ World and safely guides them back to the village. Later, he introduces them to the creatures housed in his shop, where they come face to face with a particularly terrifying animal.
