Jasmine Cumber
Jasmine Cumber is Alva’s mother and an Ever Nympha with yellow curly hair, pointed ears, and damselfly-like wings. She is an older mother with three sons: Alva, her youngest, and Melvin and Merlin, who are both grown and serve in the king’s guard.
Jasmine is kind, jovial, and naturally nurturing. She immediately takes to mothering Kay and Rob when they enter her unusual home, a place full of magic and mysteries. She pulls out every bit of magic she can to make the children’s visit delightful, but when the terrible Onyx Nymphas take Rob, she is overwhelmed with guilt and feels responsible for what happened.
