Rob Mackenzie
Rob Mackenzie is the older brother of Kay Mackenzie, the central figure of the Nymphas’ World series. To Kay, he has always been a steady presence — the person she looks up to, trusts, and depends on. Confident and well-liked at school, Rob carries himself with the easy assurance of someone used to being in charge. As the eldest in his family, he feels a deep sense of responsibility toward his younger sister, often acting as her protector and guide. When the story begins, he is an eleven-year-old boy with brown hair like his mother’s and green eyes like Kay’s.
At the beginning of Nymphas’ World, it is Rob whom Kay first tries to convince about the strange fairy that visits their garden. He dismisses her story at first, unwilling to believe in such impossible things — until the day he sees the fairy with his own eyes. From that moment, brother and sister become inseparable allies, setting out together to uncover the mysteries surrounding the magical world that has touched their lives. It is Rob who journeys beside Kay into Nymphas’ World, exploring its wonders and dangers hand in hand with her.
Rob remains steadfast until the moment of his capture. The Onyx Nymphas seize him and carry him away to their shadowed land and fortress. As a prisoner, Rob faces despair and the fear that all hope is lost — yet even then, when the darkness seems certain to win, there is still a spark of fight within him.
